[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1512431460697{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″ el_class=”block1″][vc_column_text]

Aluminium Hydroxide Gel Adjuvanted

Black Quarter is a generalized infection of cattle caused by Clostridium chauvoei. It is characterized by emphysematous swelling of the muscles especially those of gluteal region. The incubation period is 1-5 days. The onset is sudden. The initial symptom is lameness with or without fever. Swellings at first are small, hot & painful. They may develop in the muscles of shoulder, hip, chest, back & flank. In a few hours, the swellings become extensive & crepitating.

The general symptoms are complete anorexia, marked prostration, muscular tremors, congested mucosa, dyspnoea, rapid pulse & high fever. The death occurs within 12-48 hours. On incision of affected swollen part infiltration with discoloured serum with gas is found. This gives typical sweetish-sour smell. The muscles are emphysematous, dark or black, friable giving a spongy character.

This vaccine is a suspension of formalin-killed Clostridium chauvoei culture(≥109) organisms per dose adjuvanted with Aluminium hydroxide gel.

[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1512431460697{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″ el_class=”block1″][vc_column_text]

Formalin Inactivated, Aluminium Hydroxide Gel Adjuvanted

Heamorrhagic Septicaemia commonly known as Gal-Ghotu in U.P. is an acute infectious disease of cattle, sheep, goat, pigs and deer. In India, the disease normally assumes endemic character just before and during the monsoon season. The onset of disease is sudden. A few animals die within 24-36 hours of sickness. The disease is characterized by high fever (1040- 1060 F), prostration, dropping ears, congested mucosa, lachrymation, fast pulse, rapid breathing with chills, Dyspnoea is marked by extended head, open mouth & protruded tongue. Bloody diarrhoea is common.

The oedematous form of disease is characterized by swellings above the eyes, flanks, in the region of pharynx, around the anus and vulva. It may extend from limbs to the body.

This vaccine is a suspension of formalin killed Pasteurella multocida. The vaccine is adjuvanted with Aluminium hydroxide gel (50 dose vial).

Gumboro Disease is an actue highly contagious disease of young chicks (2-6 weeks old). It also affects chicks of 7-10 weeks in mild manner. Older birds do not develop clinical disease.
The disease is associated with serve damage to Bursa in Fabricius in young chicks. This leads to defective immune systems, making chicks susceptible to many disease including disease like Ranikhet Disease inspite of Vaccination.
The disease spreads by contaminated feed, water and air. The incubation period is short (2-3 days). The affected chicks become dull, depressed, go off feed, have ruffled feathers and huddle in corners. Soon diarrhea develops leading to progressive weakness & death in 5-6 days. It can affect 80% of the flock but kills about 2-10% chicks only.
On postmortem, bursa is enlarged, oedamatous and yellowish. At times bursa show petechial or ecchymotic haemorrhages on mucosal surface. Occasionally, extensive haemorrhages through the entire bursa are observed. Pinpoint haemorrhages can be seen in muscles of breast, thighs and legs. Spleen is enlarged caecal tonsil and thymus are hyperemic.
